Chelsea are reportedly preparing to launch a £70m bid for Real Madrid attacker Isco.
Isco has struggled for regular action since Santiago Solari replaced Julen Lopetegui as head coach earlier this season, leading to suggestions that the 26-year-old could leave the Bernabeu.
The midfielder has a difficult relationship with the Los Blancos supporters, meanwhile, and that has been made worse after it emerged that he refused to accept the captain's armband during the recent Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been linked with a move, but according to The Sun, Chelsea are on the verge of making an offer of £70m and are hopeful that personal terms can 'quickly be agreed'.
Last week, it was reported that Madrid would be forced to sell Isco either in January or at the end of the season due to the Spaniard's frustration at the Bernabeu.
