Czech Republic boss Michal Bilek criticises his team's fans for whistling at striker Milan Baros.

Czech Republic boss Michal Bilek has blasted fans for booing striker Milan Baros.

Two early goals from Petr Jiracek and Vaclav Pilar earned Bilek's men a vital 2-1 win over Greece in Euro 2012's Group A last night.

However, despite their team's success, the Czech Republic supporters repeatedly whistled when Baros was in possession.

"The fans were excellent and I am grateful for their support but I am really sorry that they still whistle at Milan Baros," said Bilek.

"Baros has scored 41 goals for the national side and he doesn't deserve it.

"The fans made a great atmosphere and rooted for us but the whistling is unnecessary as it is a team sport and the other players are also upset by it. They can feel it and they are sorry as they are a team and Milan Baros is one of them and doesn't deserve the whistling."

The Czechs will qualify for the quarter-finals of a major tournament for the first time since 2004 if they beat Poland in Wroclaw on Saturday.
