Matri's had his future come in for speculation after Juve signed both Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente in the summer.
It now appears as though the Italian will move to Rafael Benitez's side, who are ready to clinch a €12m (£10m) switch, according to Goal.com.
Matri has scored 36 goals in 85 appearances for the Bianconeri.
