Report: Sunderland agree £14m fee for Fabio Borini

Sunderland and Liverpool reportedly agree a £14m fee for Italian international Fabio Borini.

Sunderland have reportedly agreed a fee with Liverpool for striker Fabio Borini.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at the Black Cats and scored seven goals in the Premier League to help them avoid relegation.

He also found the back of the net in the League Cup final, as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Manchester City.

According to The Telegraph, Liverpool have accepted Sunderland's offer of £14m for the Italian international, having rejected an earlier bid of £10m.

Borini joined Liverpool from Roma in July 2012 and scored two goals for the Reds in 20 appearances.
