Mohamed Salah makes Egypt World Cup squad despite injury concerns

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is included in Egypt's World Cup squad despite the injury he suffered in the Champions League final.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has made Egypt's final squad for the World Cup despite suffering a shoulder injury in the Champions League final.

The free-scoring winger will not join up with the national team until June 9 as he continues his recovery from the injury he sustained during the Reds' 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid.

Ahmed Elmohamady of Aston Villa, Wigan Athletic's Sam Morsy and Ahmed Hegazi of West Bromwich Albion are among the other Premier League stars to make the squad.

The Pharoahs will open their World Cup campaign with a match against Uruguay on June 15.

Egypt will also face host nation Russia and Saudi Arabia in Group A.
