Egypt forward Mohamed Salah sit outs his side's final training session on home soil before setting off for the World Cup finals in Russia.

Mohamed Salah turned up for Egypt's final training session on home soil ahead of the World Cup on Saturday, but he was unable to take part as he is still feeling the effects of a shoulder injury.

The Liverpool forward has vowed to "be ready" in time for the Pharaohs' tournament opener against Uruguay in Ekaterinburg on June 15.

With less than a week to go until that crucial fixture, Salah was a high-profile absentee for Egypt as their players were put through their paces in front of thousands of supporters in Cairo.

Salah, who picked up the injury in the first half of Liverpool's Champions League final loss to Real Madrid two weeks ago, stood in the centre of the field chatting to backroom staff members while his teammates trained.

Egypt expect their star man to play a full part in the other two group games against Russia and Saudi Arabia.
