Sergio Aguero is reportedly waiting for confirmation over Lionel Messi's future before he completes his anticipated move to Barcelona.
The Argentine is set to make his final appearance in Manchester City colours during Saturday's Champions League final, after which he is expected to complete a free transfer to La Blaugrana.
Linking up with his compatriot Messi was thought to have been a key factor in his decision to head for Catalonia, but the six-time Ballon d'Or winner is yet to pen an extension at Camp Nou and has played his last game for the club as it stands.
According to Mundo Deportivo, a deal to bring Aguero to Barcelona is almost complete, but the striker wants assurances that Messi will remain at the club before making the move official.
The report adds that other clubs - namely Big Six sides in the Premier League - are ready to pounce if a move falls through, but Aguero is still expected to finalise a transfer to Barca sooner rather than later.
Barca president Joan Laporta remains optimistic over a new deal for Messi, but an agreement has not been reached yet.
