Pep Guardiola desperate to sign Barcelona's Claudio Bravo?

A report claims that Pep Guardiola is eager to bring Claudio Bravo to Manchester City from former club Barcelona, as doubts grow over Joe Hart's Etihad Stadium future.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will go all out to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, according to a report.

The Citizens boss is said to be desperate to bring in a new stopper to put further pressure on Joe Hart, whose position as No.1 is in doubt following a shaky showing for England at Euro 2016.

Guardiola has already hinted that he is ready to give Hart a chance to shine next season and prove that he deserves a starting spot, but Spanish publication Deportivo Mundo claims that largely depends on City's transfer business over the coming weeks.

Bravo is understood to be Guardiola's first-choice target, while Marc-Andre ter Stegen is also in the former Barcelona manager's consideration as the days tick down towards his first campaign in English football.

Barca are unlikely to let either keeper depart, though, with Deportivo Maldonado stopper Geronimo Rulli seen as a potential fallback option.
