Brazilian midfielder Fred is reportedly in line for a new and improved deal at Manchester United.

The 27-year-old initially struggled to settle at Old Trafford following a 2018 move from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The midfielder has made 40 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2019-20 campaign, though, and was in fine form for the club before the lockdown period in the Premier League.

The South American still has three years left to run on his current deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, but according to The Sun, he could pen a new and improved contract at the club.

The report claims that Fred is looking for a rise on his £130,000-a-week wages, having become a key player for the 20-time English champions as they chase down a top-four spot in the Premier League.

The Red Devils are currently fifth in the table, five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea ahead of Wednesday's clash with Chris Wilder's Sheffield United.
