Dean Henderson has reportedly held discussions with Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his playing time at the club.
The England international returned to Old Trafford over the summer with the view to potentially replacing David de Gea as the club's number one goalkeeper.
Henderson has featured on five occasions for the Red Devils this season, including in the team's last two Premier League matches against Southampton and West Ham United.
De Gea was back between the sticks against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday, though, and is expected to keep the gloves for Saturday's Manchester derby.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Henderson is frustrated that he did not start the recent games against Istanbul Basaksehir and West Bromwich Albion, and the 23-year-old is prepared to leave the club on loan in January in order to cement his spot in the England squad for the European Championships.
The former Carlisle United youngster signed a new five-year contract with United in August.
