Trevor Carson: 'I'm unsure about my Portsmouth future'

Trevor Carson says that the arrival of Richie Barker as Portsmouth manager means that his future is not yet clear.

Trevor Carson has admitted that he doesn't know if he will stay at Portsmouth.

The goalkeeper arrived on loan from Bury in October, but says that the sacking of Guy Whittingham and appointment of Richie Barker as manager means that his future is uncertain.

"Just before Guy left, he rang me up to say 'we want you to stay and sort out a long-term future'. It was great and then all of a sudden he gets the sack and it's back to square one," Carson told the Portsmouth News.

"The new manager has probably had a lot more on his plate this past week so I haven't had that discussion with him yet."

Carson has made 13 appearances for the club.
