Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp reveals that striker Bobby Zamora has been struggling with a hip problem.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that striker Bobby Zamora would miss 10 months should he undergo surgery on a hip problem.

Zamora has struggled for an extended run in the QPR starting lineup this season, and Redknapp has insisted that he has been hindered with an injury to his hip.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss told reporters: "I thought Bobby Zamora was fit. If you've got frontmen, you've got a chance.

"He wasn't fit and he couldn't play. He starts playing. He'll be out another 10 months if he has an op.

"I don't think he will. It would rule him out. It's going to be difficult I think."

The 32-year-old has scored four times in 17 appearances for the struggling Premier League club this season.
