Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti believes that it is imperative that the Spanish club keep hold of boss Jose Mourinho.
Madrid are on course for a successful end to the season, with the club currently leading the La Liga table by seven points, while they face Bayern Munich in the second leg of their semi-final Champions League clash on Wednesday.
However, Guti has insisted that it is vital that the Spaniards do all they can to keep Mourinho beyond the end of the season.
"He is a man of character and discipline and I think it's crucial for him to remain on the Real Madrid bench," Guti told reporters.
Guti appeared 542 times for Madrid between 1995 and 2010.
