Wednesday's Primeira Liga predictions including Sporting Lisbon vs. Belenenses

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Primeira Liga fixtures, including Sporting Lisbon vs. Belenenses.

Santa Clara vs. Moreirense (Wednesday, 3.30pm)

Santa Clara and Moreirense lock horns at the Estadio de Sao Miguel on Wednesday, with the hosts sitting just one place and one point above their opponents in the Primeira Liga table.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back from defeats last time out, as the home side were defeated 1-0 away at Vitoria de Guimaraes, while Moreirense lost 3-2 at home to Tondela.

We say: Santa Clara 1-1 Moreirense

With both sides having an outside chance of European qualification for next season, we see this being a fairly cagey game as both will fear what would be a damaging defeat.

We see this ending as a draw, with the sides somewhat cancelling each other out in a result which would not particularly benefit either.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Maritimo vs. Rio Ave (Wednesday, 5.00pm)

This week's most important game at the bottom of the Primeira Liga table takes place in Madeira, as Maritimo welcome Rio Ave to the Estadio dos Barreiros on Wednesday evening.

The hosts currently sit in the relegation playoff place, three points adrift of automatic safety, while their opponents sit just five points ahead in 13th place.

We say: Maritimo 2-1 Rio Ave

Despite the defeat last time out, Maritimo seem slightly revitalised under Velazquez and have stepped up in crucial games on two separate occasions.

We see them, boosted by the return of Pinho, stepping up again as they take on a struggling Rio Ave side who have several important players missing from the squad.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Braga vs. Boavista (Wednesday, 7.00pm)

Braga welcome Boavista to the Estadio Municipal de Braga on Wednesday, in a game of major importance at both ends of the Primeira Liga table.

The hosts have a chance to break into the top three with a victory on Wednesday, while Boavista will look to continue their rise up the table and away from the drop zone with a result to extend their unbeaten run to four matches.

We say: Braga 1-1 Boavista

We think Boavista could extend their strong run with another commendable result on Wednesday, taking advantage of Braga's poor run of form and lack of momentum.

The Archbishops have struggled to put victories on the board for one of the first times this season, and we see them dropping points again as they take on a resilient Boavista outfit.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Belenenses (Wednesday, 9.15pm)

Sporting Lisbon welcome Belenenses to the Estadio Jose Alvalade on Wednesday, as they aim to strengthen their position at the top of the Primeira Liga table.

The league leaders made a crucial return to winning ways last time out, as they defeated strugglers Farense 1-0, while Belenenses continued their rise up the table with a 2-0 victory over Maritimo.

We say: Sporting Lisbon 1-0 Belenenses

While Belenenses will certainly prove a tough test for the league leaders, we see Sporting Lisbon coming out of Wednesday's game with a narrow victory to maintain their lead at the top of the table.

The visitors have definitely shown signs of improvement recently, but we would expect them to fall just short to a strong Sporting Lisbon side at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
