Agent dismisses Vlad Chiriches speculation

Vlad Chiriches's agent denies speculation linking the Tottenham Hotspur defender with a move away from the club.

Vlad Chiriches's agent has denied speculation linking the Tottenham Hotspur defender with a move to Fiorentina.

The Romanian international joined Spurs from Steaua Bucuresti for around £8m last summer, but the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as the club's new manager is understood to have thrown the 24-year-old's future in doubt.

However, Pietro Chiodi has insisted that Chiriches is not about to move to Italy.

"I deny that there is currently a deal with Fiorentina or any other clubs for my client," he told Sky Sport Italia.

Chiriches scored one goal in 24 appearances for Spurs during the 2013-14 campaign.
