Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly prepared to battle for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming transfer window.
The Serbian has attracted widespread interest in the last year, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid all supposedly declaring their interest.
According to The Sun, Premier League duo Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur now lead the way in the battle for the 21-year-old, who has refused to sign a contract extension with the Italian side, with the commanded fee reportedly being around £50m.
Newcastle have been linked with a long list of potential stars since the Saudi Public Investment Fund's successful takeover of the club last week, while the London club were said to have identified the 21-year-old as a long-term replacement for Harry Kane, when the Englishman was linked away from the club over the summer.
Since arriving at Fiorentina in 2018, Vlahovic has netted 35 goals in 92 appearances, and he enjoyed his most fruitful campaign last season as he found the net 21 times in 37 Serie A games.
The Serbian has kicked off the new term in similar fashion, scoring four goals in the opening seven league matches, seeing I Viola sit in sixth spot at this early stage of the season.
