Florentino Perez plans David Silva, Gareth Bale, Edinson Cavani summer swoop?

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez puts Gareth Bale, David Silva and Edinson Cavani on a shortlist of transfer targets ahead of club elections in June, according to a report.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly planning a busy summer of transfer activity and wants David Silva, Gareth Bale and Edinson Cavani to join the Spanish giants.

Perez is up for re-election at the Bernabeu in June and has targeted the acquisition of all three players in an effort to keep Madrid fans on his side, according to The People.

Madrid are under pressure from supporters to improve results after a difficult defence of their La Liga crown this season that has seen the club fall 12 points behind league leaders Barcelona.

Manchester City playmaker Silva has come top of a poll conducted by Madrid fans to find the player they most want to sign at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bale and Napoli striker Cavani have both been in excellent form this season, and Perez reportedly believes that the signing of either player would be a declaration of his ambition to bring silverware to the club.
