Luther Burrell to miss South Africa game with hand injury

Luther Burrell will miss England's match with South Africa as he continues his recovery from a hand injury.

England have confirmed that Luther Burrell will miss Saturday's meeting with South Africa at Twickenham as he continues his recovery from a hand injury.

The Northampton centre missed the 24-21 defeat to New Zealand due to the injury, and he will continue to work with the medical staff at his club as he looks to make sure he plays some part in the Autumn internationals.

Courtney Lawes has remained with the England squad after suffering a concussion against the All Blacks, but he is still a doubt for the match against the Springboks.

Head coach Stuart Lancaster will reveal his 23-man matchday squad on Tuesday, before revealing his lineup on Thursday.
