World number one Novak Djokovic has revealed that he was offered £110,000 to lose a match early on in his career.
The revelation comes amid allegations that evidence of suspected match fixing at the top level of the sport has been uncovered, including amongst Grand Slam-winning players.
However, Djokovic, who turned down the alleged bribe, has denied that match fixing is prevalent among the world's best players, insisting that there is "no real proof".
"It's just speculation," Djokovic is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
The 10-time Grand Slam champion began his quest for a record sixth Australian Open crown by coasting through the first round this morning.
