Kevin Anderson reaches Queen's quarter-finals in three sets

Kevin Anderson reaches the quarter-finals at Queen's in three sets against Sergiy Stakhovsky.

Kevin Anderson has booked his place in the quarter-finals at Queen's following a 6-3 3-6 7-6(4) victory over Sergiy Stakhovsky.

It was a poor start for Anderson as he lost his opening service game, but he managed to respond down the line and level the first set 3-3 on the fourth break point.

Another break point earned him the set, but games went by the way of serve in the majority of the second set until Stakhovsky came out on top in a battling encounter.

After initially saving five break points, Anderson eventually relinquished his game, meaning that Stakhovsky held his serve to draw level on sets.

The third set was once again a tight affair, but it was Anderson who edged in front by winning a crucial tie-break 7-4.
