Roger Federer has been beaten in the semi-finals of the Hamburg Open by world number 114 Federico Delbonis.
The world number five was playing in his first tournament since losing to Sergiy Stakhovsky in the second round of Wimbledon last month.
Delbonis came through 7-6(7) 7-6(4) in just under two hours to record his first victory over the 17-time Grand Slam champion.
The Argentine will now face Italy's Fabio Fognini in Sunday's final.
