Great Britain's Peter Norfolk believes that he made a "good impression" in his opening wheelchair tennis Paralympic campaign.
The Brit managed to progress into the second round following a 6-0 6-0 win over Japan's Mitsuteru Moroishi in the quad singles yesterday.
"I think my win is a good statement," The Telegraph quotes Norfolk as saying. "I wanted to make a good impression and I think I have. It will turn a few people's heads.
"My wheelchair is modelled exactly to my requirements to suit my disability. Because I am old and slow I need a chair to go as fast as possible."
Norfolk has won three wheelchair tennis Paralympic gold medals consecutively.
