Matt Ryan has confirmed that he would have played in the Super Bowl, despite picking up a shoulder injury in the NFC Championship game.
The Atlanta Falcons quarterback completed the final two plays of the clash with the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year with a separated left shoulder, which the team said would need a four-week recovery period.
The 28-year-old told CBSSports.com: "Knowing myself, I think I would have played. I would have done everything to play in that game.
"Yeah, I would have played, that's four weeks to 100%. Get about halfway there and you have to go."
The Falcons failed to reach the Super Bowl, losing 28-24 to the 49ers.
