NBA roundup: Three winning streaks come to an end

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from the NBA as three unbeaten streaks are ended.

The Philadelphia 76ers have lost their first game of the NBA season following a 110-90 defeat to the Golden State Warriors at the Wells Fargo Center.

Stephen Curry starred for the visitors with 18 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds but it was Andre Iguodala who troubled the scorers most frequently as he contributed 32 points to condemn the Sixers to a loss.

The Minnesota Timberwolves also saw their unbeaten run ended in Ohio as C.J. Miles scored 19 points in a 93-92 triumph for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kevin Love, who provided 17 points for the Timberwolves, missed a three-point shot with under two seconds left in the game as the home side held on for a tense victory.

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens is still looking for his first win in the NBA after his side were beaten 95-88 by the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum.

The Celtics were leading by six early in the fourth quarter but 15 points in the final period from Jerryd Bayless guided the Grizzlies to their second successive home success.

Another unbeaten start to the season was ruined at the Staples Center as the Houston Rockets lost 137-118 to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Seven players got into double figures for the Clippers, with J.J. Redick scoring 26 points and Chris Paul, who provided 17 assists for his teammates, adding 23 more.
