The agent at the centre the of spot-fixing case pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to cheat and conspiracy to obtain and accept corrupt payments during a Test match between Pakistan and England at Lord's last year, it emerged this afternoon.
Mazhar Majeed accepted the charges during a trial in September, along with pace-bowler Mohammad Amir.
Reporting restrictions had meant that the 35-year-old's plea was not able to be made public until now.
Majeed is now in the dock at Southwark Crown court with Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Amir awaiting sentencing.
