South Africa wicket-keeper Mark Boucher has been ruled out of his country's tour of England.
The 35-year-old has returned home after undergoing eye surgery following a freak accident in which Boucher appeared to be hit in the eye with a bail.
The injury occurred after spinner Imran Tahir bowled Gemaal Hussain, causing the bail to flick up into the wicket-keeper's eye.
Cricket South Africa tweeted on Tuesday morning, saying: "Mark Boucher will be returning home from the tour. Selectors will name a replacement in due course. Thank you all for your positive thoughts."
Boucher made his Test debut for South Africa in 1997.
