Sir Chris Hoy has admitted his excitement about the potential legacy that will be left for Scottish cycling as a result of them hosting the Commonwealth Games.
The five-time Olympic champion has been working as a pundit at the Chris Hoy Velodrome this week and what he has seen has left him enthusiastic about the future.
Scotland have won five medals - two gold, two silver and a bronze - so far at the Games.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: "I've been at the velodrome all week, seeing the medals and seeing the reaction of the crowd. For me the highlight has been the pride of seeing we've got this facility in Scotland now, which is going to guarantee future champions, and not just champions, young kids getting on their bikes.
"I think the home nations have done very well. The recent World Championships in Colombia was a disappointing one for the GB team, but the home nations have done well here.
"You look at individual performances: Laura Trott, Jason Kenny, Scotland's Katie Archibald, who's got a fantastic career ahead of her."
Hoy is Great Britain's most successful Olympian of all time.
