Management veteran Carlo Mazzone has voiced his belief that Pep Guardiola could be in charge of either one of the Milan giants come next season.
The 75-year-old, who coached Guardiola during his time with Brescia between 2001 and 2003, said that the former Barcelona coach has expressed his desire to coach in Serie A.
Guardiola left Barcelona following a hugely successful four-year spell in charge of the Catalan outfit.
"I haven't heard from him in a while, but I don't think he wants to stop coaching at his young age," Mazzone told Il Sussidiario. "I think he'll work in Italy one day. I don't know when, but I have this impression.
"He phoned me once and told me that he'd come to see me. I asked whether that would be as a tourist or as a Coach of an Italian team. He said both.
"I think he could be working in the city of Milan next year, but I don't know whether at Inter or Milan. I can't see him with any of the Roman clubs."
Guardiola also played for Roma during his stay in Italy.
