Thiago Silva says that Paris Saint-Germain are not as feared as AC Milan.

Thiago Silva has admitted that Paris Saint-Germain do not yet strike the same fear into the hearts of opponents in the same way as his former club AC Milan.

Les Parisiens have splashed the cash since being taken over by Qatar Investment Authority last summer, acquiring big names such as Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Carlo Ancelotti's men have also reached the last 16 of the Champions League and are currently second in Ligue 1.

However, the Brazilian centre-back has said that it will take time for PSG to match the Rossoneri.

"Milan's name is more feared than PSG's at the moment, because they have won the Champions League seven times," Silva told Champions Matchday.

"We're back in the competition after I don't know how many years, so people don't have that respect for us yet.

"That will come with victories, with hard work and good football, so that's what we're looking to do."

Silva arrived in the French capital for £33m in the summer.
