AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca: 'I will return to Sevilla'

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca insists that he will "one day" return to Spanish club Sevilla, where he spent two seasons between 2013 and 2015.

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has insisted that he will "one day" return to Spanish club Sevilla.

The Colombian international joined Sevilla from Club Brugge in the summer of 2013 and scored 49 times in 108 appearances for the La Liga club, before moving on to Milan last summer.

The 29-year-old continued his strong scoring form in Italian football, notching 20 goals in 42 appearances during the 2015-16 campaign.

Bacca has insisted that he is happy at San Siro, but has a desire to return to the Estadio Ramon before hanging up his boots as a professional footballer.

"I've already spoken to [director of football] Monchi and the president, with whom I still have an excellent relationship. With God's help I'd like to go back there one day because I know that at Sevilla the door is always open for me. I'm sure I'll return one day," Bacca told Marca.

"However, I've never regretted my decision to leave because I made it with great confidence. It was a step I wanted to take so I could continue to grow as a player. Besides, Milan's project excited me. In any case, we all know that Sevilla have to sell players every year and it was my turn. The supporters understand that."

Sevilla are believed to have made in the region of £24m from the sale of Bacca.
