League Two roundup: AFC Wimbledon, Fleetwood Town keep pace with Chesterfield

AFC Wimbledon and Fleetwood Town both win to stay in touch with Chesterfield at the top of League Two.

Chesterfield continued their strong start to the season with a solitary goal from Ritchie Humphreys at Oxford United, but Fleetwood Town are staying in touch at the top of League Two.

The Fylde club edged past Portsmouth thanks to a second-half goal from Jamille Matt, and the result sees them jump to second in the table, four points behind Chesterfield.

AFC Wimbledon also moved into the top three after coming from behind to beat Burton Albion 3-1.

David McGurk put Burton in front after 30 minutes, but second-half goals from Harry Pell, Jack Midson and Andy Frampton ensured that the Dons took three points.

Mansfield are now level on points with Oxford in the table with a convincing 3-0 win at the One Call Stadium with two goals in three minutes, thanks to Sam Clucas and Ben Hutchinson with Mathias Kouo-Doumbe putting through his own net to seal the visitors' fate.

Two early goals from Matthew Lund and Scott Hogan were enough to see Rochdale to a 2-1 win at Accrington, a result that keeps Stanley at the foot of the table with only a point to their name.

Hartlepool's quest to escape the relegation fight seemed to be going well thanks to a brace from Luke James, but John-Joe O'Toole's late equaliser ensured that Bristol Rovers earned a point.

Bury earned a vital draw for their own survival hopes at home to Southend thanks to a last-minute finish from Anton Forrester minutes after Ben Coker was sent off for the visitors.

Another late goal, this time from Rhys Murphy, gave Dagenham and Redbridge a point as they were trailing 2-1 away to Morecambe in the dying stages.

Callum Ball's early brace set Torquay on their way to a win against Cheltenham and Scunthorpe edged past Plymouth thanks to an Etienne Esejas winner.

League Two newcomers Newport County won comfortably at Exeter City, while Wycombe and York City drew 1-1.
