The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Arsenal eye possible reinforcements.
The Gunners spent more than many expected during the summer - most notably their club-record purchase of Nicolas Pepe - but were more reserved in January as they focused on bolstering their defensive options.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.
Monday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:
David Luiz performances change Arsenal's transfer plans?
David Luiz's recent performances for Arsenal could have reportedly changed the club's transfer plans.
The Gunners were expected to sign at least one new centre-back in the upcoming transfer window, with Luiz, Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi all having their problems this season.
Luiz was sent off against Manchester City in the team's first game after the lockdown period but his form has been impressive in recent weeks, putting in another strong display against Man City in the FA Cup on Saturday.
According to the Daily Star, the Brazilian's turnaround in form could have convinced head coach Mikel Arteta that he does not need to bring in another central defender ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Kieran Tierney has also impressed when used in the centre of the defence, while William Saliba will be another option next season, having officially arrived after a loan spell at Saint-Etienne.
Luiz only recently signed an extension at the Emirates Stadium, and the 33-year-old now has a contract with the Gunners until the end of next season.
Dani Ceballos 'to ask Real Madrid for Arsenal stay'
Dani Ceballos will reportedly speak with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about the possibility of staying at Arsenal for the 2020-21 campaign.
The midfielder's existing loan deal at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire next month and as it stands, he will be back at the Bernabeu for the start of next season.
The 23-year-old is allegedly not in the plans of Los Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane, though, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding the midfielder's future in recent weeks.
According to El Confidencial, Ceballos will ask Madrid to extend his loan at Arsenal for another season as he is keen to secure regular football ahead of next summer's European championships.
The report claims that the La Liga champions would rather sell the Spain international this summer but another loan with an option to buy could potentially be agreed.
The former Real Betis youngster has scored twice and provided two assists in 34 appearances for Mikel Arteta's side since arriving last July.
