Arsene Wenger 'concerned' by Arsenal's lack of creativity

Arsene Wenger puts his side's failure to pick up the win required against Paris Saint-Germain down to a dearth of quality from open play at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that his side can still finish top of their Champions League group, but admits that they have 'a lack of creativity' to blame should they fall short yet again.

The Gunners played out a 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening, leaving the two sides locked on 11 points apiece in Group A.

Arsenal now require an unlikely slip-up from PSG when they take on Ludogorets Razgrad - a side the North London outfit beat 6-0 on home soil - as they failed to truly sparkle in front of goal against the French giants, requiring a penalty and own goal to earn a point.

"You have to consider two things," Wenger told reporters after the match. "The intensity we put in and the result. We gave a lot tonight and we came back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 and then gave away an own goal. But we played a good side.

"We had good spells in the game but we could not dominate. Tonight my concern is that we were 2-1 up and allowed them to come back at us. It's difficult to understand how easy we gave away a goal at a corner. We lack something in our creativity but we got a point. It might not be enough but you never know."

Arsenal take on Basel in their final group-stage outing, facing a sixth second-placed finish in succession should results not go their way in two weeks' time.
