Santi Cazorla hails Danny Welbeck partnership

Santi Cazorla hails his partnership with Danny Welbeck after the two combine to win Arsenal's game at West Bromwich Albion.

Santi Cazorla has lauded the partnership he is forming with Danny Welbeck after the two combined to score Arsenal's only goal in their win over West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.

The Gunners were under pressure after making their worst start to a Premier League campaign under Arsene Wenger, and Cazorla has hailed the result as an important win.

"It's good when I play with Welbeck and he put in a good performance for the team. Now we need to continue to play the same," the Spaniard told the club's official website.

"It was an important game for us. We needed to win because we'd lost our last two games. It was important for the team's confidence and we played very well.

"They played long balls and they had tall players but we had strong defenders."

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has refused to comment on banners that appeared in the Arsenal end at The Hawthorns calling for him to leave the club.
