Calum Chambers: 'We showed great resilience'

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers feels that his side displayed spirit to earn a point from their clash with Tottenham Hotspur despite not being at their fluent best.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers believes that his side showed great character to rally from a goal behind to claim a point in the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners struggled for fluency in the match at the Emirates Stadium and fell behind in the 56th minute to a strike from Nacer Chadli.

However, Arsene Wenger's side responded and managed to get on level terms when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fired home an equaliser from close range.

He told the club's official website: "It was tough. We knew it was going to be tough. It was my first taste of a north London derby and I really enjoyed it.

"This team has got great character. It's a great group of lads and we'll go on to the next game, take positives from this game and learn from it.

"I think the work ethic and the desire we showed to come back from a goal down, and the passion we showed when we were a goal down, is what we can take into the next match and the games to come."

Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League with 10 points from their six matches this season.
