Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has welcomed "another good manager" to the Premier League following Unai Emery's appointment at Arsenal.
The 46-year-old has been recruited as Arsene Wenger's successor at the Emirates Stadium on what is thought to be a three-year deal.
Emery left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2017-18 season after guiding them to four domestic cups in two years, having also previously won three Europa Leagues during his time at Sevilla.
Guardiola is excited to face off against his countryman again next season, following previous battles during their time in La Liga, and he believes that Arsenal have made a good appointment.
"[Emery is a] top manager. His career speaks for itself," he told Sky Sports News. "He did it perfectly in Spain with many teams - Valencia, Sevilla - and he did really well in France. So, welcome to England. Another good manager is coming here."
Emery is just the second Arsenal manager from outside of Britain - Wenger being the other.
