Thierry Henry impressed with "amazing" Liverpool fans

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry hails Liverpool fans as "amazing" after appearing as part of a charity match at Anfield on Sunday.

Thierry Henry has hailed the Liverpool supporters after the Arsenal legend appeared at Anfield as part of a charity match on Sunday.

Henry was part of Steven Gerrard's All-Star XI that drew 2-2 with Jamie Carragher's team, and the Frenchman was impressed by the club's supporters who turned out for the game.

He told the club's official website: "I've said so many times they are amazing. When they are singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone', it is just amazing.

"It was the first time that I could, and was allowed, to watch it and enjoy it and it is great. This crowd has won so many points for the team.

"What a day for Stevie G, what a day for Carra and what a day for the club. I was just happy to be a small part of it."

Gerrard scored twice from the penalty spot after goals from Mario Balotelli and Didier Drogba had given Carragher's team a two-goal lead at Anfield.
