Nacho Monreal praises Arsenal supporters

Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal praises the club's fans for their continued support over the course of this season.

Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has praised the club's fans for their continued support this season.

The Gunners played their final home game of the season on Sunday, beating West Bromwich Albion 1-0 thanks to Olivier Giroud's first-half goal.

Monreal now hopes that the team can give the supporters a trophy to celebrate ahead of their FA Cup final against Hull City later this month.

"The atmosphere [at the Emirates Stadium] was unbelievable all season," he told the club's official website. "The fans are incredible for all the games, they were with us and that's very important for us.

"Now we have the opportunity to win a trophy, we must produce a good game and win the trophy."

Arsenal finish their Premier League campaign on Sunday when they face Norwich City at Carrow Road.
