Petr Cech content with Stoke City point

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech admits that he is content to take just a point from their Premier League clash with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has admitted that he is content to take a point from his side's goalless draw with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this evening.

The Gunners created the best chance of a low-key opening 45 minutes before spending time on the back foot after the restart as their hosts looked to make a breakthrough.

The result means that Arsenal have still only won once at the Britannia in the Premier League era, but Cech believes that it is a decent enough point for Arsene Wenger's side.

"I thought Stoke did very well. We did well in the first half and had a chance to go 1-0 up but Jack [Butland] made a good save," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"Second half the momentum shifted and they had chances. We could have won and could have lost. We will take the point.

"We were coming here and heard from everyone we would lose again. But we showed we can compete. We are in a position we wanted to be."

The point takes Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League table, although they only lead Leicester City on goal difference.
