Mesut Ozil to miss Manchester City clash through ankle injury?

Reports suggest that Mesut Ozil will be ruled out of Arsenal's Premier League clash with Manchester City with an ankle injury.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is facing a race against time to be fit for the Gunners' Premier League clash against Manchester City next weekend, reports suggest.

The 25-year-old picked up an ankle injury during Arsenal's 1-1 draw away to Leicester City at the weekend, which kept him sidelined for Germany's 4-2 loss to Argentina on Wednesday.

According to The Metro, Ozil met up with his international teammates ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland on Sunday, although Germany manager Joachim Low has confirmed the player is doubtful.

It is believed that Ozil's injury will now keep him out of Arsenal's league game against the Premier League champions at the Emirates on September 13.
