Report: Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal for Paris Saint-Germain in summer

Arsene Wenger will join Paris Saint-Germain within the next 12 months, according to reports.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will reportedly call time on his 17-year tenure at the club this summer and become the new boss of Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite insisting on Monday that he is staying at the Emirates, the French giants are apparently confident of acquiring the services of the 63-year-old at the end of the current campaign, with Carlo Ancelotti rumoured to be in line to take charge of Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho heading to Chelsea.

According to the Telegraph, senior figures at PSG are convinced that Wenger will take control at the Parc des Princes no later than the summer of 2014 when his current contract expires at the Emirates.

The club's Qatari bosses are adamant that they can tempt Wenger to the French capital within the next 12 months, with the Arsenal chief set for a meeting with PSG next week, according to Le Parisien.

The North London club are hoping that Wenger's flirting with the Parisian club could be a way of trying to obtain a larger transfer budget.
