Arsene Wenger: 'FA repaired 5% of Gabriel Paulista damage'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that the FA repaired "5% of the damage" dealt by overturning Gabriel Paulista's red card against Chelsea.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that the FA have repaired "5% of the damage" after the club won their appeal against the red card Gabriel Paulista received against Chelsea at the weekend.

The Brazilian was sent off during the club's 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge after kicking out at Diego Costa, but the Football Association rescinded the defender's three-match ban yesterday.

However, Wenger feels that the decision proves that Gabriel should not have been dismissed in the first place.

The Frenchman told reporters after his side's 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur: "It just shows that they decided after the game what should have happened during the game. They repair 5% of the damage that had been done to us.

"I watched the game again, it's better I don't talk too much because I'm still angry about it. One or two situations in the game are very difficult to understand when you watch it again."

Arsenal are back in Premier League action on Saturday as they head to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City.
