Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that young players will always be given the chance to impress at the club.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that young players will always be given the chance to impress at the club.

The Gunners are currently preparing for the new Premier League season following a successful tour of Asia.

Despite some doubts over the level of experience within the current squad at the Emirates Stadium, Wenger believes that the club's recruitment policy is a positive one.

"One of our strengths is young people know we will give them a chance," Goal.com quotes Wenger as saying.

"We try to look all over the world to find players who have the talent and desire. But what we look for is their motivation to be successful.

"You also need consistency in your motivation and that is what we try to test in players as well."

Arsenal will get this year's Emirates Cup underway against Napoli on Saturday.
