Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should have Gabriel Martinelli back at his disposal for Sunday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.

The Brazilian winger was left at home for Tuesday's Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven due to illness, as a second-string Arsenal closed a successful Group B campaign with a 1-1 draw in the Netherlands.

However, Martinelli has had ample time to fight off his bug and will likely be reinstated to the first XI here, and the same can be said for Bukayo Saka, who - to the delight of Gooners - enjoyed a complete rest in midweek.

Mohamed Elneny is at risk of missing out with the hamstring injury he picked up in Eindhoven, though, while Takehiro Tomiyasu (calf), Thomas Partey (thigh), Fabio Vieira (groin) and Jurrien Timber (knee) are also sidelined.

Despite his well-taken goal on Tuesday night, Eddie Nketiah will cede his place to Gabriel Jesus in the final third, while the ever-impressive Declan Rice will be a straight swap for the stricken Elneny in midfield.

Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard will expect to join forces with the £105m man in the engine room, where Emile Smith Rowe is now an option again, while Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White are set to return to their wide roles over Jakub Kiwior and Cedric Soares respectively.

There will be no rest for William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of the backline, though, while Aaron Ramsdale will pass the gloves back over to David Raya after enjoying his belated Champions League debut in midweek.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli
