Arsenal allegedly confirm the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a video posted on the club's website.

Arsenal are said to have accidentally announced the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a video on their website last night.

The Gunners are on the verge of completing the capture of the striker from Borussia Dortmund in a club-record deal worth around £60m.

The 28-year-old is thought to have completed a medical in London yesterday ahead of a proposed three-man transfer chain that will see Olivier Giroud leave the Emirates for Chelsea, and the Blues' Michy Batshuayi move to Dortmund to replace Aubameyang.

Last night Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insisted that the situation would be resolved this morning, but according to The Sun, the Frenchman talked about the deal being done in a video uploaded to Arsenal Player last night.

In the clip, which has since been deleted, an interviewer is said to ask the manager: "Aubameyang is an Arsenal player - you must be delighted to get the deal done?"

Wenger is then said to reply: "Yes, it's good news. We need people who can give us more offensive power. We aren't efficient enough going forward.

"He has a big challenge in front of him, he wants to win the Premier League. It's absolutely good news for us."

Should the deal go through, Aubameyang will become Arsenal's second signing of the month following the arrival of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United.
