Arsenal are hoping to raise more than £32m, in addition to saving £207,000-a-week, by offloading defensive trio Rob Holding, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis.

Arsenal are hoping to raise more than £32m by selling defensive trio Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Rob Holding this summer.

Reports this week have suggested that Mikel Arteta has put all three players on the transfer list, with William Saliba and Konstantinos Mavropanos set to return from loan spells and Pablo Mari likely to make his loan permanent.

Arsenal are keen to trim their wage bill amid contract talks with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, and believe that offloading Mustafi, Sokratis and Holding could free up £207,000 per week.

Should they be able to sell each player for their asking price then they could also boost their coffers by over £32m, according to their valuations on Transfermarkt.

Thirty-one-year-old Sokratis is the most expensive of the trio at £13.05m, while Mustafi, who joined Arsenal for around £37m in 2016, is now worth just £10.8m.

Holding is valued at £8.55m, bringing their combined total to £32.4m - although that does not account for further falls in values as a result of the coronavirus shutdown.

The trio have made 59 first-team appearances for Arsenal between them this season.
