Arsenal in £75m swoop for Riyad Mahrez, Alexandre Lacazette?

Arsenal could reportedly be tempted into making bids for both Riyad Mahrez and Alexandre Lacazette, who are thought to be valued at around £35m and £30m respectively.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly weighing up a £75m double deal to bring both Riyad Mahrez and Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal prior to the start of the new season.

The Frenchman admitted this week that he is willing to spend big in order to bolster his squad following the arrival of just one new senior addition this summer.

Switzerland international Granit Xhaka put pen to paper on a long-term deal thought to be worth around £30m prior to the European Championship finals, but since then it has been relatively quiet on the transfer front.

Takuma Asano and Rob Holding could also challenge for starting spots next term, though Wenger is said to be desperate to bring in a couple of big-name players to turn his side into real Premier League title contenders.

The Mirror reports that Leicester City winger Mahrez remains Arsenal's top target, while Lyon ace Lacazette is also likely to be the subject of a bid during the off-season.

It is claimed that Mahrez, voted PFA Player of the Year for 2015-16, would set the North London outfit back £35m and Lacazette around the £30m mark.
