Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid right-back Alvaro Arbeloa.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid right-back Alvaro Arbeloa.

Arsene Wenger has been busy in this summer's transfer window and still plans on making more additions, according to AS.

According to the report, Wenger wants a defender with versatility and sees Arbeloa as the perfect fit.

The report goes on to state that Wenger appreciates Arbeloa's Premier League experience, having played for Liverpool for two-and-a-half seasons before returning to Real Madrid.

Arbeloa's current contract runs for two more seasons, expiring in 2016.
