Arsenal will reportedly fail in their attempts to sign Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
The North London outfit, who are yet to bring any high-profile players into the club this summer, have been exploring defensive options during the window.
It is understood that the Gunners have switched their attention to Richards, but City have no intentions of letting the 25-year-old leave the Etihad Stadium, according to the Daily Star.
Arsenal have also been linked with an £11m swoop for Swansea City captain Ashley Williams.
