Arsenal could allow Rob Holding to leave the club on a permanent deal during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly open to the possibility of selling Rob Holding during this summer's transfer window.

The 24-year-old has made 69 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Bolton Wanderers in 2016, although he has only featured on nine occasions during the 2019-20 campaign.

Holding missed an extended period after picking up a serious knee injury in December 2018 and has only made two Premier League appearances this season.

The centre-back has a contract at the Emirates Stadium until June 2023, but according to Goal, Arsenal would be open to allowing him to leave permanently this summer.

The report claims that a loan is likely 'to be a more appealing option' for the Gunners, but the capital giants would also consider 'good offers' for the former England Under-21 international.

Mikel Arteta's side are allegedly already preparing to freshen their defence by signing RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano, while William Saliba is due to officially arrive at the club this summer after remaining on loan with Saint-Etienne for the 2019-20 season.
